Wellington Motors is an extremely well-respected, professional Nissan car dealership. Wellington Motors in Somerset is just one of three Nissan dealerships in the UK and 100 worldwide to receive the Nissan Global Award in 2015. The accolade recognises Wellington Motors' outstanding sales performance and customer care. They were also recently voted Nissan's After Sales Dealer of the Year and have won two Motor Trader magazine customer care awards. The dealership has three sites, all connecting to the main server, in Wellington, Exeter and Barnstaple.
IT support and advice
The car dealership environment is changing so quickly, in terms of technology, and Wellington Motors' legacy equipment was no longer meeting their growing demands. They do not have any internal IT resource, so finding the right IT supplier was essential to the success of the business.
Wellington Motors began working with an IT provider but it became apparent over time that changes weren't happening to their satisfaction. The provider didn't have the appropriate automotive experience or a strong enough focus on exceptional customer service. They were selling products not solutions to business problems and Wellington Motors needed a new partner with a more holistic approach.
Eloquent Technologies were recommended as an IT expert in the automotive industry and came on board to try and resolve the problems. Wellington Motors have been working with Eloquent for two years now and they have been systematically working through the legacy issues, providing an end-to- end solution top the car dealership.
A comprehensive IT solution
Eloquent have made a lot of suggestions to improve the IT infrastructure. They support all the major manufacturer systems and Kerridge/CDK dealer management systems. Eloquent are also ahead of their game in helping the automotive industry transition to a more mobile workforce, allowing sales people to work remotely with tablets and laptops, instead of being tied to desktops in the office.
They installed Wi-Fi at Wellington Motors, with 100Mb leased lines going into the Exeter site, and other upgrades installed at the other sited to improve speed and resilience. The email service is now managed and supported by Eloquent which is an essential element of the infrastructure, bearing in mind that Wellington Motors are very reliant on email communications.
Microsoft Exchange 2016 and Mimecast provide a secure, resilient and reliable platform.
Eloquent have completed some web development for Wellington Motors and they also provide web hosting.

Network connectivity at Wellington Motors has improved dramatically. Making improvements to the network is a continually evolving project, with changes being made when budgets allow.
